Pakistan lauds Azerbaijan’s leadership as Baku hosts OIC Cultural Festival 2025

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has praised Azerbaijan’s leadership for successfully hosting the OIC Cultural Festival: Baku Creative Week – 2025, calling it a landmark initiative for cultural, creative, and intellectual exchange across the Islamic world.
Speaking at the festival’s inauguration, Khichi said Baku had evolved into a key cultural hub for the Muslim world, offering renewed momentum for cooperation among OIC member states. He highlighted that Pakistan, as a brotherly nation, deeply values Azerbaijan’s role in advancing cultural diplomacy on regional and global platforms.
Khichi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to meaningful participation in all initiatives aimed at strengthening Islamic solidarity and promoting shared cultural heritage. “We see this platform not merely as a festival, but as a significant opportunity for cultural rapprochement, creative exchange, and strategic cooperation within the Islamic world,” he remarked.
Emphasizing the shared history, cultural ties, and religious unity among Islamic nations, the minister said these bonds form the foundation of a strong and enduring partnership. Pakistan, he added, remains dedicated to supporting collaborative efforts that contribute to greater cohesion within the Muslim world.
Khichi expressed confidence that Azerbaijan’s continued cultural initiatives will further reinforce the collective cultural identity of Islamic countries and deepen cooperation among OIC member states.
