KP Governor for collective efforts with AKF to promote welfare projects in KP

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday reaffirmed his commitment for making joint efforts with Agha Khan Foundation for promotion of education and better healthcare services imperative for human resource development and helping of the poor as well as depressed ones.
He was talking to Prince Rahim Agha Khan who called on him at Islamabad, says a statement of Governor House Peshawar.
The Governor congratulated him on the Presidential Award of Nishan Pakistan.
The Governor praised Prince Agha Khan Foundation for its welfare services including education and health in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa especially in Chitral district.
It was affirmed during the meeting that the jurisdiction of Agha Khan Foundation’s welfare projects and assistance of the underprivileged segment would be extended to other areas of the province.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi commended the services of the Agha Khan Foundation for eradication of poverty and providing assistance to the underprivileged segment of Khyber Pakthunkhwa especially in Chitral district.
He underscored the need for collective efforts for looking after the needs of poor families and taking them out of poverty in future.
He said that Agha Khan Trust was busy in great work of improving standard of life of the underprivileged and enhanced welfare activities in world.
On this occasion, Prince Rahim Agha Khan has also expressed his resolve to work together on constructive measures and highly praised the Governor KP’s vision on devolopment of human resources and improving lives of underprivileged and needy ones.
KP Governor meet ambassador of KSA, discuss matters of mutual interest
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday met with Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy in Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interests.
Director King Salman Humanitarian Relief and Aid Centre Pakistan Wing, Dr. Abdullah Albarak was also present on the occasion, said a press release issued here. Matters relating to further strengthen existing relations between two Muslim countries and promotion of investment also came under discussion.
KP Governor appreciated the services of King Salman Relief Center and said that people of country and especially living in backward areas are aware of the services of relief center to end poverty and providing relief to people.
He also highlighted the help extended by the relief center to flood affected areas of D I Khan, Chitral, Swat, Charsadda and Dir and said that Saudi government has always helped people of the country in times of distress adding that we appreciate the role played by Saudi government to provide assistance to people in times of need and emergencies.
