DG reviews ongoing operations, performance of FIA

Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Ahmad Ishaq Jehangir, PSP, PPM conducted a detailed visit to Lahore Zone. During the visit, DG FIA chaired a high-level meeting to review the ongoing operations and performance of the agency.
Director Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Multan zones participated in the meeting via video link. A detailed performance report highlighting the progress on critical investigations was presented to the DG FIA. Key issues discussed during the meeting included actions against overbilling, the PASCO scandal, money laundering, and arrest of most wanted human traffickers and terrorists.
DG FIA expressed satisfaction with the current performance of the zones. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts against those involved in human trafficking, corruption, money laundering, manufacturing of sporious drugs, and overbilling. He reitrated that all available resources should be mobilized to ensure the arrest of criminals.
DG FIA reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to providing top-tier immigration services to passengers. He also called for rigorous screening processes to curb the trend of individuals traveling abroad under the guise of begging.
The meeting concluded with a strategic discussion on the future course of action.
