Police Martyrs` Day observed in Peshawar

A blood donation camp set up to pay homage to police martyrs

PESHAWAR: Police Martyrs Day was celebrated in Peshawar with full sanctity, honoring the brave police officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty across Pakistan.
The day began with a visit to the grave of Shaheed Safwat Ghayur, a brave police officer, where IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan, and SSP Operations Kashif Zulfikar paid their respects.
Later, a ceremony was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, where a squad of the police saluted the police martyrs and offered prayers for their high ranks.
A Khatam Al-Quran was also organized at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines Mosque, attended by senior police officers, who prayed collectively for the high status of the martyrs and the security of the country and nation.
A blood donation camp was also set up to pay homage to the martyrs and collect blood for innocent children suffering from thalassemia.
“Sacrificing their lives for the protection of the soil, the greatest honor of our martyrs is that from the IG to the soldier, they sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and the nation,” he said and added that for the past few years, programs have been organized to commemorate and pay tribute to police martyrs with full sanctity and integrity, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan further said that in memory of the sacrifices of these martyrs.

CCPO Qasim Ali Khan said that the KP police and the entire nation have fought with courage and honesty in recent difficult situations, and the martyrs have created a bright chapter in the history of the police.
He emphasized that the police will never forget the martyrs and their families.
