BISP to serve marginalized segments of society: Rubina

Chairperson Rubina Khalid meets Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to discuss BISP’s initiatives

Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Rubina Khalid held a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq today. During the meeting, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Rubina Khalid on assuming her new role as Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme.
Mrs. Rubina Khalid took the opportunity to brief Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on the ongoing and recently launched initiatives of Benazir Income Support Programme. She highlighted the role Benazir Income Support Programme plays in the economic empowerment of women and reiterated her commitment to serve the marginalized segments of society through the programme.
“Benazir Income Support Programme is dedicated to provide essential support to the most vulnerable communities, particularly focusing on the economic empowerment of women. We are committed to enhance the programme’s reach and impact to ensure that no one is left behind,” said Mrs. Khalid.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed his support for the programme and wished Mrs. Rubina Khalid success in her endeavors. “The Benazir Income Support Programme is vital for the socio-economic uplift of marginalized communities, and I wish for its continued success under Mrs. Rubina Khalid’s leadership,” he stated.
In a separate meeting later in the day, Central Additional General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party, Engineer Mohammad Humayun Khan, met with Mrs. Rubina Khalid at the Benazir Income Support Programme headquarters. The discussion focused on issues faced by women beneficiaries of Benazir Income Support Programme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly concerning stipend disbursement and the provision of necessary facilities.
Mrs. Rubina Khalid assured General Secretary PPP that all problems faced by the beneficiaries would be promptly addressed. Our priority is to ensure that every woman in need receives the support she deserves without any delays,” she added.
